As I sit down to reflect on my culinary journey, I am filled with memories of the diverse flavors, aromas, and experiences that have shaped my love for food and travel. As i have mentioned through my newsletters moving to Singapore was the first step toward this lifelong adventure, igniting a passion that continues to grow with every destination I visit. Each place has offered its own unique culinary treasures, expanding my appreciation for different cultures and cooking techniques.
Here’s a glimpse of my journey(in Alphabetical order) one place at a time:
Masai Mara! it was incredible! still dream about that place!
Africa
Masai Mara, Kenya: The Masai Mara, located in southwestern Kenya, is one of Africa's most iconic wildlife reserves, renowned for its stunning landscapes and extraordinary biodiversity. Stretching over 1,500 square kilometers, it is home to the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes—and offers unparalleled opportunities to witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes traverse the plains in search of greener pastures. Our time in the Masai Mara was a truly unforgettable experience, made even more special by our stay at Ashnil Mara Camp. Nestled along the banks of the Mara River, the camp offered a perfect blend of luxury and immersion in nature. Each day was filled with thrilling safari adventures, where we witnessed the incredible wildlife that roamed the plains. After the excitement of the day, we returned to the comfort of our tented camp, enjoying delicious meals under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Lagos, Nigeria: Left a lasting impression during my business trip, thanks to the incredible people on my team and the vibrant local culture. The city buzzes with energy, and its people are as warm and welcoming as its climate. The culinary experience was equally remarkable, with flavorful local dishes that left me craving more. Among the highlights were home-cooked meals like plantain and beans, a comforting and hearty dish and spicy world of Fufu and Egusi. quickly became a favorite. The blend of spices and the richness of the cuisine made every meal memorable, reflecting the soul of Lagos and its wonderful people.
South Africa - Johannesburg & Cape Town: During our time in Cape Town, we were captivated by its stunning landscapes and vibrant culture. We explored the breathtaking vistas from Table Mountain, wandered through the colorful streets of Bo-Kaap, and indulged in delicious local cuisine at waterfront restaurants. The highlight of our trip was visiting the Cape of Good Hope, where we marveled at the dramatic cliffs and pristine beaches. Each experience was enriched by the warmth of the locals and the city’s rich history, making our stay in Cape Town an unforgettable adventure filled with breathtaking sights and cherished memories.

Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam!
Our visit to Amsterdam was a delightful journey through a city that effortlessly blends history, culture, and modernity. We enjoyed the warmth of Dutch hospitality, the rich history of the Anne Frank House, and the vibrant colors of the tulip fields. the simplicity and comfort of Dutch cuisine. exploring the picturesque canals, lined with charming 17th-century houses, and cycling through the vibrant streets. The city's rich art heritage captivated us, especially our visit to the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, where we immersed ourselves in masterpieces. Amsterdam's eclectic food scene, with its mix of traditional Dutch treats and international cuisine, added to our enjoyment. Strolling through the lively markets and quaint neighborhoods, we felt the city's unique charm and warmth, making our time in Amsterdam truly memorable.
Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona Monuments by Gaudi & delicious food at the Market!
Our visit to Barcelona, Spain, was a vibrant journey filled with unforgettable experiences, from the awe-inspiring architecture of Gaudí's masterpieces, like the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell, to the mouthwatering culinary adventures. A highlight of our trip was the amazing food we savored at Mercat de la Boqueria, where the bustling market stalls offered a rich variety of local delicacies. We indulged in the exquisite flavors of jamón, freshly made seafood, and an array of tapas that showcased the best of Catalan cuisine. Sweet churros dipped in chocolate and refreshing sangria added to the delight, making our time in Barcelona a perfect blend of cultural and gastronomic exploration.
Dubai, UAE
Our visit to Dubai was a thrilling mix of modern marvels, cultural experiences, and culinary delights. Standing atop the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, we marveled at the breathtaking views of the city's futuristic skyline. The spice market dazzled us with its vibrant colors and aromatic scents, offering a glimpse into the rich traditions of the region. A memorable boat cruise with dinner allowed us to enjoy Dubai's glittering cityscape while savoring amazing cuisine, including delectable haleem and flavorful biryanis. Our adventure in the deserts, with dune bashing and a sunset over the golden sands, added an exhilarating touch to our unforgettable Dubai experience.

Indonesia
Jakarta: Our visit to Jakarta, while primarily for business, was enhanced by the city’s incredible local food and cuisine. We indulged in flavorful dishes like rendang, a savory and spicy beef stew that left a lasting impression with its rich, complex flavors. The culinary experience offered a delightful glimpse into Indonesia’s vibrant food culture, making our time in Jakarta not just productive but also a memorable gastronomic adventure.
Bali: Our visit to Bali was an enchanting blend of relaxation, culture, and culinary delights. We indulged in traditional massages that left us rejuvenated and ready to explore the island's incredible local food and cuisine, from rich, aromatic curries to fresh seafood. The island’s beautiful beaches provided a serene backdrop for unwinding, while its cultural and architectural marvels, such as intricate temples and lush rice terraces, showcased Bali’s unique heritage. We were captivated by mesmerizing traditional dance performances, which brought the island’s vibrant traditions to life. Each moment in Bali offered a perfect harmony of relaxation, culture, and adventure.
Lisbon, Portugal
Our visit to Lisbon, Portugal, was a delightful exploration of history and cuisine. We marveled at the city's impressive monuments and museums, including the iconic Vasco da Gama Monument of Discoveries that commemorates the great explorer. The local seafood soup was a standout, offering rich and comforting flavors, while the wines, surprisingly more affordable than bottled water, provided a taste of Portugal’s renowned viticulture. Lisbon’s blend of cultural heritage and culinary delights made our stay truly memorable.

Paris, France
Mont Saint-Michel: This magical island commune took our breath away with its medieval charm and stunning views. The journey was a step back in time, where history and beauty merged in perfect harmony.

Palace of Versailles: The grandeur of Versailles left us awestruck. The Hall of Mirrors, the vast gardens, and the sheer opulence of it all made us appreciate the history and artistry of France.

Annecy: Nestled in the French Alps, Annecy was a winter wonderland. The snow-capped mountains and crystal-clear lake made it one of our favorite weekend escapes. We indulged in local cheeses, sipped hot mulled wine, and embraced the beauty of the French countryside.

Eiffel Tower & Montmartre: Back in Paris, we visited the iconic Eiffel Tower and the artistic neighborhood of Montmartre. These places, though familiar, never lost their charm. Whether it was a glass of wine at a café or a walk along the Seine, Paris always offered something new.

Louvre Museum: We couldn’t resist the allure of the Louvre, with its endless halls of art and history. Each visit was a journey through time, where we marveled at masterpieces like the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo.

Phuket & Bangkok: Our visit to Phuket and Bangkok was a captivating journey of relaxation and indulgence. In Phuket, we reveled in the stunning beaches and serene crystal-clear waters, while also enjoying the rich flavors of local Thai cuisine. Bangkok dazzled us with its vibrant street food scene and bustling markets. We unwound with relaxing massages that left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Each destination offered its own unique blend of beauty and relaxation, making our time in Thailand both invigorating and unforgettable.
Each sight, smell, and taste has contributed to who I am today. These experiences have not only satisfied my hunger but also deepened my understanding of the world around me. It is my privilege to share these stories with you, hoping to inspire your own culinary adventures.
And now, here we are in North America, where I continue to explore, taste, and learn from the rich tapestry of flavors that this vast continent offers.
